Musician Piksy has expressed sadness over lack of support for his Toy Drive campaign.
The campaign was aimed at getting the public to donate toys for an orphanage in Chikoja village in Chiradzulu.
“Despite the message I put out to the world, People's response in donating the toys and clothes was not very encouraging, I was let down,” Piksy said sounding disparaged.
He has however said this will not be the last time he is putting up such effort to help children.
“The feeling was great; we will be doing this again soon and I hope you will join us. The photos are a reflection of how it all went.”
Piksy and his manager Wisdom Phanga went ahead to mobilise a few resources like money which they used to buy clothes and toys for the children.
The philanthropy gesture by Piksy has seen 130 kids who are registered at the nursery school benefit as they now have warm clothing and toys to play with.
