Film Association of Malawi (FAMA) has created an on-going initiative called Movie Night with the aim of providing platform for screening and premiering of local films, capacity building and marketing Malawian movies.
This initiative will also the promote film industry in Malawi in many ways including monetary benefits to the film producers and publicity.
James Kitchen, Secretary General said FAMA has realised that in Malawi most producers lack venues to premiere their films after their production and the process of marketing becomes a problem.
"As an association we believe that Movie Night initiative will alleviate the challenge. The event shall be taking place in various venues.
Kitchen said it is with this background that FAMA through Events Organizing Committee is calling for movie submission for screening during the stated above event.
"If you have a film and you want space and platform to premiere and screen, contact us through the office of the Secretary General or send the trailer, synopsis, poster and still pictures to: email@example.com. Or call on 0995381197," he said.
FAMA said when sending the films, they will require the details from the producer: name of the producer, phone number, email address, production year of the film, censorship board certificate, title of the film, synopsis, Link of the trailer and that it should be feature film
The call is open to all members and executive members of FAMA and applicants shall require to fill agreement form before FAMA starts advertisement.
