"Being my first film and getting nominated its a great achievement on its own. This is a start of my journey, hoping to get more awards in due time and I hope I can return to AMMA for even great and big awards," Sukali said.

HD Plus Marketing and Communications, Thomas Siveliwa speaking in an interview with Kulinji.com entertainment desk said: "Its been a very exciting journey. We have been talking with Hannah Sukali since she was mentioned a nominee.

"It has encouraged her a lot and we know she will come back with the hunger to be good in her acting. Being her first movie and getting a nomination its not a minor achievement."

Siveliwa expressed gratitude to Malawi and media houses across Africa for the continuous support shown to Sukali for being one of the nominees.

"Much thanks to the public for the continuous support they have shown our girl. And also much thanks to the Africa Movie Academy Awards for the nomination, we believe it will open more doors for our film and much especially Hannah Sukali.

Sukali faced intense comments over her dress which some on social media have said was very revealing. The movie company has noted the talk online and said they: "accept different views regarding the outfit Hannah Sukali wore at the awards night."

"We promise the public that we will look into the views and do better next time.

Nothing wrong to see here

Siveliwa: "To some the dress was quite okay while others found a problem. Well we accept that Malawians have different views. The best we can, is to do better next time and accept that others didn't like it."

The other social media discussion has been the issue of how the movie has not been widely available for public consumption. Some have argued the movie was only screened twice and the majority do not know what they hype is about.

The company has come out to say their strategy is to avoid pirating of the movie which would render them monetary losses as they put in a lot of money and time into the movie.

They have suggested having private screening for those who want to have a  first hand experience of the movie.

Benard Chavinda asked the movie makers for the link where he can access it: "When we will watch this movie?? U don't even share the link where we can download to which Fatsani answered to say this is not a free for all product "Benard Chavinda siza ulele amwene... Mudikile. AMAA is an annual celebration of the brightest and the best in African movies.
