United States based-Malawian urban musician Masiye Kasalu aka Maskal, says he is back on the music scene and ready to drop an album this year.
He disclosed this in an interview with Kulinji.com and said he will communicate the album release dates later but assured that he is in the studio.
“People should expect good music and I'm back on the scenes now,” said Maskal.
Although Maskal has been out of the picture for long, his showing on the recent ‘Miyala’ song in which he was featured by Barry One is proof that he has lost none of his magical vocal abilities.
The musician has also been featured by the gospel Hip-Hop artist Gwamba in a song titled ‘Get There’ set for release on June 28 this year.
Maskal said he was happy to have worked with Gwamba: “This song is great, matured and has a positive message.
“As you know the world has been going through a lot with the pandemic, and people need something positive, something to keep them going and this song has that message.”
Furthermore Maskal said though he will be releasing an album he will put up some singles first.
Maskal is well known by a lot of songs like the likes of ‘Udalire’ and ‘Gwiritsa’ among others.
