TNM Super League defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets and Civo Service United will have battle it out for three points at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday, that will enable one to consolidate their second place or to be dislodged by the other.
Civo are currently occupying the spot with 24 points, four shot of leaders Silver Strikers.
A win at Kamuzu Stadium would help them reduce the gap to a point, that is if the Bankers lose their Sunday match against Chitipa United at their backyard.
This will also be a must-win match for Civo if they are to maintain their unbeaten run this season, having played 12 games, winning six and same draws.
On the other hand, Bullets also need the win to move to second place as they have 22 points, and a win would push them to 25, one above Civo.
A draw for the two sides would mean they maintain their current positions, while giving a chance to other teams.
The red side has played 11 games with six wins, four draws and one loss.
Bullets have an upper hand going into the match as they are playing at home with fans allowed to watch the games.
Also the odds favour the people's team considering their last season's run as they thumped Civo at home and away.
Civo lost 6-0, and 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium and their backyard respectively last season.
This will however be coach Franco Ndawa's moment to revenge.
In other games to be played in the league, rejuvenated side Chitipa United is set to pile more misery on Kamuzu Barracks as the two sides clash on Saturday.
KB have had a poor run in the league, which has seen them drop to the relegation zone with the latest loss to fellow soldiers Moyale Barracks last week.
Chitipa on the other side managed to dodge relegation zone after winning three consecutive games, with the latest being against Tigers FC at their backyard.
They now face stern test to meet KB which is seeking revival, and then Silver Strikers which is looking for points to consolidate their lead in the league.
Another rejuvenated side, Moyale Barracks wil be home at Mzuzu Stadium to play fellow City side, Mzuzu Warriors on Saturday.
On Sunday, Blue Eagles will play MAFCO at Nankhaka Stadium.
