Bullets nkumadzulodi: Finish season flying high

TNM Super League 2020

The adage that Nyasa Big Bullets nkumadzulo manifested on Saturday, as the team came from behind to clinch a winner in the last match of the 2020-2021 TNM Super League after beating Karonga United 3-2.

Karonga started the match on a high with clear chances to spoil Bullets' party through Josiah Duwa and Mphatso Kamanga's strikes.

The first half had Karonga as best candidates to carry the day until the second half when the champions returned with a whole different vibe.

Hassan Kajoke restored hope for the Bullets camp before substitute Lanjesi Nkhoma added the second.

Two minutes before the final whistle, with Bullets pushing for the third goal, Nkhoma was brought down in the box tempting referee Alfred Kaphamtengo to award the People's team a penalty.

Kajoke made no mistake but converted from the spot to give his side the joy they wanted.

Bullets coach, Kalisto Pauses hailed his boys for the win.

"Our friends dominated the first half and we thought we were losing it. But as I always say, we approach each game as it comes and we don't relent until the last match," he said.

Karonga coach Dan Dzinkambani said much as they have lost, to him the team won.

"We have given them a good game. For a team that has limited resources to play like how we did and give pressure to a side that has everything is not easy. I am proud of the boys," he said.

Mighty Wanderers finished the league with a goalless draw with Moyale at Mpira Stadium.
