When Be Forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets meet, the game is characterised by drama especially JuJu beliefs, but this time was different.
The game had to end prematurely due to chaotic scenes that saw supporters from the blue camp throwing objects into the pitch over what they thought was the officiation panel's incompetence to handle the match.
The two sides started the match on a high with Stanley Sanudi hyping it up 13 minutes later with his strike that landed in the net behind Bullets' reserve goalkeeper, Richard Chimbamba.
Chimbamba was handed the first start of the match following injuries that have rocked the people's team.
Sanudi's goal was a replica of what he did during the Malawi and Uganda match in the AFCON qualifiers as his strike hit the side of the goalposts.
Bullets created a lot of chances to level and probably score a winner, but the only reward they got for their hardwork was an own goal from Wanderers debutant Sherrif Yunus in the second half.
The Nomads kept pushing until they had some of their goals disallowed for offiside which upset the fans.
As usual, Malawi police threw teargas to disperse the fans.
The match stopped for some minutes until the referee, Gift Chiko called for a continuation, but the situation was too hot for the players to withstand.
They all left the pitch running into the dressing room.
Chiko was seen been whisked away by police in their car.
However, the result still stands according to the Super League of Malawi updated log table, which has seen Bullets maintaining their second spot with 26 points now, while the Nomads have moved to eighth position with 18 points.
Elsewhere, Mzuzu Warriors came from behind to beat Ntopwa FC 2-1 at Mzuzu Stadium.
The visitors had an early chance with Mphatso Magaleta converting from the spot before Gift Kasambara and Taniel Mhango scored for the host.
