  • Teammate Stain Davie closes in

Silver Strikers’ mission in the Southern Region did not only benefit the team, but also gave individual players opportunities to stretch their goal scoring form in the TNM Super League.

The Bankers beat Red Lions 1-0 at Chiwembe Stadium on Saturday, before thumping Ntopwa 3-0 at Kamuzu Stadium the next day to create a four-point gap on the log table.

Stain Davie scored the lone goal against Red Lions and added one on Sunday to take his scoring tally to eight goals.

His colleague, Maxwell Gasten consolidated his top goal scoring lead to nine goals, after netting one during the Ntopwa game.

One-time leading scorer, Royal Bokosi of Red Lions is now third on the list joining Chiletso Zoya of TN Stars, and Hendrix Misinde of Ntopwa sharing six goals each.

Clever Kayira of Ekwendeni Hammers, Zicco Mkanda of Nyasa Big Bullets, and Muhammad Sulumba of Civo Service United have each scored five goals.

Nine players have each managed to send the ball, four times behind the net, including Ranken Mwale of Civo Service, Peter Kasonga of MAFCO, Bullets' Hassan Kajoke, Silver Strikers’ Patrick Macheso, Gastin Simkonda of Moyale, Clement Nyondo from Karonga United, Blue Eagles’ Gaddie Chirwa, Babatunde Adepoju of Be Forward Wanderers, and Emmanuel Muyila of Chitipa United.
