Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City South East Constituency, Ulemu Msungama has reiterated calls for Malawians to exercise patience amid rising costs of goods in the country.
The Minister of Youth and Sports made the call when he addressed his constituents at a developmental rally.
He said he decided to conduct the rally after a long time due to COVID-19 pandemic and needed to touch base with his constituents.
"My ultimate goal is to keep in touch with my people at the constituency," he said.
The rally was graced by Malawi Congress Party’s (MCP) general secretary, Eisenhower Mkaka who also offered people a glimmer of hope saying the rising cost of goods is a global trend.
''We accept the reality that prices of things are rising, and this is a global trend and soon things will normalise in the country,'' he said.
He further said that as a leader, Chakwera wants people to be hopeful that the economic situation will improve soon.
