As the world was commemorating Nurses day on Wednesday, one of their own Nollah Chiwango from Mtengowanthenga hospital in Dowa got a surprise-becoming the 10th K1 million winner in the on-going TNM Tikolore Promotion.
TNM conducted the fifth draw which produced two winners, but the 11th could not be reached.
Kawango, who won after recharging with K1000 Airtime, could not believe the news since she was not even aware of the existence of the promotion.
"I have received the money, but I can't even explain how happy I am. I couldn't believe the news in the first place until I saw the money transferred into my account because I couldn't remember entering into any competition.
"Otherwise, this is an answer to my prayer because for the past two weeks I have praying for financial breakthrough and God has answered. TNM is really always with us and I will be encouraging others to try the network," she said.
Out of shock, Kawango said she is yet to make plans on what to do with the money.
This makes her the second nurse to win a million in the promotion, after Sheila Kadethe from Trinity Mission Hospital in Nsanje was also made a millionaire some weeks ago.
TNM products manager, Tiyamike Tizifa said they were glad to share the celebrations with Kawango as they strive to make more Malawians millionaires.
"Entry to the promotion is simple, as customers are bound to win after an Airtime recharge of K200 or more. But the promotion has also been designed that everyone will be a winner in that if a customer recharges with a minimum of K100, they will instantly receive free voice minutes, data and SMS," he said.
So far, the promotion has created 11 millionaires, given out K10,000 to 1,250 people and 50 winners carting home K100,000 each every week.
The promotion started on April 1, and ends on July 1.
