Malawian renowned Hip-hop artist, Fredokiss has organized a K1 million football and netball trophy which is expected to be launched on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Moneymen Ground in Blantyre.

The competition will be played in two categories; for youth from Blantyre South where Fredokiss grew up which includes Nkolokosa, Zingwangwa and teams from other areas in Blantyre.

Fredokiss, who is also known as Ghetto King Kong, said he would like the youth in Blantyre to participate and have fun during the two months the trophy is going to run.

Tumpale Kasote, one of the organizing committee members, said the trophy has been organized with the aim of unearthing hidden talents among the youth in the area.

“We have a lot of hidden talent that goes unnoticed in our area as we do not have competitions and innovations to make the youth busy and active.

“This will help to exhibit those hidden talents, we can even produce our own Ronaldos or Messis who will later on play in the super league,” said Kasote.

He said the launch will be spiced up by different performances from different Malawian artists including Dr. Ethel Kamwendo Banda, Piksy, Hyphen, Waxy K, Temwa, Episodez, and 4 Sight.

Currently, teams that have registered are Nkolokosa FC, Naperi all Stars, Zingwangwa Medicals, Chitawira Select, Chilobwe FC, Red Eagles, Ma Rasta FC, and Domingo FC.
