Silver Strikers to reshuffle coaching team

Silver Strikers says it will come out to publicly announce whether or not they will be replacing their assistant coach, later this week.

The decision by the club comes after Lovemore Fazili took a job at the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) as Malawi national team assistant coach to Meke Mwase.

According to the club they will also make a determination on the job of the technical panel following poor performance in a number of league games, despite winning the Airtel Top 8 cup.

Young Chimodzi, Peter Mgangira and Sibusiso Padambo’s jobs are all on the line for their unsatisfying display in the first round of the elite TNM super league.

Lawrence Yobe the clubs General Secretary could not commit to who Silver Striker’s will pick for the job but inside sources say Masters Security Abbas Makawa’s name has been floated around in meetings.

Yobe said: “It will be very immature of me to give the media information before everything is sorted out. This is not a secret so you will know as we do. I will not make any commitments right now.”

Silver Strikers is also expected to offload some players considered surplus to requirements as they go into the second part of the league which starts in September.
