Mighty Wanderers

Mighty Wanderers have secured a sponsorship with Mukuru a financial service company.

Mighty Wanderers board secretary Humphreys Mvula has confirmed the news.

Mvula said: "The deal encompasses naming rights which means the 2017 TNM Super League Champions will rebrand to Mighty Mukuru Wanderers FC".

In statement released by Mukuru, the deal is aimed at boosting brand awareness while demonstrating the company’s commitment to excellence, as well as its recognition of Africa’s rising global stature in both fin tech and sport.

“We are excited to have struck a deal, in consultation with the Football Association of Malawi, with one of Malawi’s top Super League teams, the Mighty Wanderers,” Andy Jury Mukuru’s CEO said in a statement.

The company has also included in its sponsorship English premier league team Crystal Palace for 2022/2023 season and a sponsorship arrangement with Springbok legend Tendai Mtawarira.

Meanwhile, the sponsorship amount and other pertinent details will be revealed during the launch at a yet-to-be announced date.

Currently the Nomads are seventh on the TNM Super League table with 10 points from 6 played matches.
