Fashion 4 Change (F4C) has engaged 15 Malawian designers and four international designers to raise awareness and create a platform for corporates to find their targeted audience in one place and market their brands.
The designers will showcase at this year's F4C set for August 31st at Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre.
Founder for F4C Ausa Kamanga said they have decided to go with the theme ‘Buy A Waste Bin, Keep Our Communities Clean and Be Part of The Change’
Kamanga explained that they have partnered with Blantyre City Council to advise them on which local market center points they can strategically place their skip bins.
She said they will also come up with a beneficiary list to receive organic waste disposal bins.
“As they say better waste disposal offers better way of life, we are calling corporates to be part of this exciting waste management project and provide facilities such as hand litter pickers, bins, gloves etc and be part of the awareness to encourage individuals to make sure that waste is managed in a way which is better for the environment and communities in a sustainable way,” Kamanga said.
She added that the project aims at changing people’s attitude with regards to waste management.
During the fashion showcasing, one man band Faith Mussa is expected to keep the audience entertained while they take part in change in the city.
