State ordered to amend charges in MSCE exam leakage case


A court in Zomba has ordered the State to amend charges against Malawi National Examinations Board (Maneb) officials arrested over the 2020 examination leakage.

The order has come after laywer Ian Twea, representing the Maneb head of security Owen Khuntho and chief examination security officer Joseph Chilombe, told the court that the charges were too general. 

Executive Director Gerald Chiunda was arrested and charge along with Khuntho, Chilombe and Chief Examination Officee Ishmael Faki and were charged with negligence

Senior Resident Magistrate Lisa Chingoli has ordered amendments to charges all the four accused persons.
