Malawi National Football team forward, Khuda Muyaba's dream of being the Goldenboot award winner of the GladAfrica Championship failed to materialise on the last day of the competition.
Muyaba kept the tempo and hope to clinch the award when he netted in their 4-2 win against TTM to take his goal tally to 14 this season.
Unfortunately, his closest rival, Tiklas Thutlwa was also playing same day, and managed to net a hat trick which enabled him to surpass Muyaba.
Tiklas of Leopards got the award with 15 goals, while Muyaba is the Silver award winner.
Despite the effort, his team, Polokwane City, which has other two Malawians, Dennis Chembezi and Mike Mkwate, finished sixth on the table with 41 points from 30 games.
They have missed out on promotion from the National First division.
Muyaba is a lethal striker who was also part of the Flames at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon this year.
