After ascending to power, President Lazarus Chakwera and his predecessor Peter Mutharika have never been seen together leaving people to speculate if the opportunity will ever materialize.

It  finally took the Christmas festivities for the current President to pay a courtesy call on the Former President at his private residence in Mangochi where the Chakwera's are also enjoying their holidays.
